Sherman Ehrens Feller, 91, of Fanwood, died peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022. There are no services scheduled at this time. Donations and Contributions can be made in Sherman's memory to the American Lung and/or Heart Association.
Sherman was born in Queens, NY, and raised in the Richmond Hill section. After marrying his loving wife Joan in 1961, they settled to Fanwood, NJ in 1968 to raise there 3 children. Sherman graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He was then drafted by the United States Army, and proudly served his Country during the Korean War. After he was Honorably Discharged, Sherman went on to become a Chemist for over 25yrs. Sherman worked for Congoleum Flooring, Hopewell, then lastly with Dow Chemical Co., Bound Brook, before retiring in 1998.
Sherman was a member of the Lions Club and the local "R.O.M.E.O." club. Sherman was a passionate photographer who loved capturing landscapes and portraits. Some of Sherman's photography would often be featured in local exhibits. As a young man Sherman enjoyed swimming and was a life guard for many years. He continued to swim and work out well into his 80's. Throughout the years Sherman traveled with his wife Joan as they visited many place around the world including Europe, Holland, Alaska, Russia, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Sherman enjoyed playing with his electronics and devices, he would play video poker on them. Also, he would enjoy going for rides on his road bike on a pleasant afternoon.
Sherman is survived by his loving wife of 60yrs. Joan; his caring children Kevin (Annika), Dana Williams (Gary), and Carla Lundgren (Leslie Lapidakis); and his adoring five grandchildren Anthony (Kelly), Addison (Aryn), Pryce, Heather, Eryn.
