Not sure what to say?

Joe;
My brother just called me after being at DAC today to learn that Sherman has passed on and that he was buried today. Our hearfelt sincere sympathy goes out to you today. Eddie loved Sherman like a brother. I wish we had heard about his passing we would have been in Dallas for his funeral. Anyway, you will be in our prayers. May God Bless you and keep you.

Losing Sherman is another great loss for our class of 64'.I guess Sherman kept our class going. He was sort of the Head of the class, you might say. He always had everyone together and in line. He was a great guy. I only seen sherman once after school. The smile was still there. I never seen anyone who loved life as much. May God Bless His Family.

I was very sad to see another of our classmates gone. We started out in the first grade in Hillsboro and when you go to school with someone for twelve years it is like a loss of your family. I will always remember Sherman in his green studebaker making the drag. Our prayers go with the family during this time of sorrow.

We are very sad to find that we have lost another special memeber of our HHS class of 64..My fondest memories of Sherman,date back to grade school..he was always a happy person and a joy to be around..with our 40th reunion being planned for this year..there will be a feeling of lose,for yet another childhood friend..rest with the angels,Sherman..Richard and Lynda

Sherman was a great friend and an even better opponent at golf or gin rummy. I'll remember always our travels to Pebble Beach and Prairie Dunes. His (and Jo's) kindness and friendship to and with my children will endear them both to me forever.

I have known no one who took such joy and pleasure from being on a golf course with friends--even when Sherman was making double bogey, he did so with flair, true zeal, and the occasional "blue" verbiage. I will miss him. Sherman, from now on, all your putts are "good."

I am Sherman's god-daughter… Lisa Mae as he called me. He and Jo have known my parents for 25 years, have been best friends with them for at least 20, and I grew up with both of them in my lives. He was always smiling, laughing and having a good time, whether it was at their annual Christmas party, playing cards with me and the other guests, or trying to teach me the finer points of why it's good to have a good golf swing. I’ll always have the memories of 4th of July’s at DAC.. lounging...

JOE, TONY AND I EXPRESS OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY...I LOVED SHERMAN...HE WAS ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN AND A MAN OF INTEGRETY...KNOWING HIM WAS MY PLEASURE...WILL MISS HIM

A laugh and a smile I will never forget as well as all the encouragement Sherman gave me over the years. It saddens me that his life was cut so short, but he lived every day!!!
