Not sure what to say?

I grew up on Roosevelt Drive and I knew Sherman from seeing and talking t him usually on North Limestone Street. He was also a friend of Phil Tipton and we were bests friends. Now for a story. In 1967 I am serving aboard the carrier USS Constellation off the coast of Vietnam. I am in the chow hall and across the table sits Sherman Stewart from Springfield, Ohio. Sherman was a fine person. As an athlete at Springfield North HS, he was one of the best on the NHS football and basketball teams. He was quite muscular and although he wasn´t super tall, he could dunk a basketball. May God provide him with wonderful circumstances in the spiritual realm.

Scherer was a very well liked classmate in high school. He was a very nice person and a great athlete. I am very sad to hear of his passing. Rest in peace, Friend.

Sorry to hear of Sherman loss. I played sports with him in high school. May god bless him and his family.

So sorry for your loss. Sherman and I played high school football together.
