Sherwood Bailey

Sherwood Bailey, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home. He was born June 30, 1935 in Nash County to the late Edward Joseph Bailey and Gertrude Adler Bailey. He honorably served his country in the US Army. Memorial service 2:00 pm, Friday, July 3, 2015 at Hocutt Baptist Church, 314 West Horne Street, Clayton, 27520. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service at the church from 1:30 to 2:00 pm. Surviving: wife, Cassie Andrews Bailey; sons: Sherwood Anthony "Tony" Bailey of Clayton, Edward Mark Bailey of Chattanooga, TN; step-daughter, Valeria Medlin of Clayton; grandchildren: Sherwood, Jonathon, Brad, Travis, Ty; sister, Lelia Harris of Raleigh; brother, Wilbert Bailey (Carolyn) of Knightdale. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Edward Bailey.
