Not sure what to say?

My cousin Sheryl always had a lovely smile on her face

Mrs. Aiello was my 6th grade teacher back in 01-02. She was the teacher that made me love school. She taught us about her Jewish culture, rewarded us for working hard and participating, and gave us opportunities to better our future. I remember little field trips we took to the Puppethand Theater, the Most, and a trip to her house where we went to a pizza place and ice cream place. We also went to shadow day at Syracuse University. She was definitely the best teacher I've ever had. I think...

Aiello was my 5-6th grade teacher. For teacher appreciation week i always wanted to let her know I always thought of her. She thought us things way beyond the classroom. She didn´t just thought us math or to read but thought us the world. She shared her Jewish culture with us which she was proud of and opened our eyes to racism and humbled us. I will always love her for that and carry that in my heart forever and think of her

Mrs. Aiello was my math teacher at Seymour School. She inspired me in ways that far exceeded the study of mathematics. She imparted to me a sense of confidence and faith that still follows me. She lived her principles, extended caring at every turn, and empowered me to believe that with effort and persistence I can succeed. I just found today that she had passed away in 2012. Even after all these years, she is greatly loved.

Ms. Aiello was a teacher of mine, perhaps my fifth or sixth grade. I never forgot her because of her kindness. As a reward for helping out with some thing or other in the classroom after school, I remember she invited myself and a few other students to her house for dinner with herself and her husband. I never forgot that. God Bless her and her family.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Sheryl. I worked in the Syracuse City School District with Sheryl. We also had the opportunity to work together on the Interfaith Works Community Wide Dialogue to End Racism Advisory Committee. I will always remember her commitment to the Annual "Duck Race" involving 3rd Graders across the County. It was fun and exciting because of Sheryl's skill and creative talents. My prayers and condolences go out to the family.

Peace,
Lorraine Merrick

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Sheryl was such a wonderful and fun person to be around. We loved having her at all the "Langan" events. She had such a wonderful disposition and was loved by all. Sheryl was the life of the party and always ready to get on the dance floor. I was glad I was able to see her at our family reunion 17 months ago. She looked so beautiful with her new blonde hair. ...

We pray God's comfort, strength and peace upon Sheryl's family and loved ones. I personally am grateful to have shared with Sheryl through both ACTS and Interfaith Works. I regret that we are out of state and thus unable to attend the services. Nonetheless, know that many in the community are praying for the family.

I am honored to have known Sheryl and called her my friend. We raised our sons just a block apart. She was kind & compassionate and I was inspired by her great strength & conviction in her beliefs. She was honest & outspoken and I will miss her terribly. My thoughts & prayers go out to all her family & friends, we are all better persons for having known her. Rest in peace Sheryl & know what a mark you made in this world and how much you were loved. Wendy Willm
