ARMSTRONG, Sheryl Bernice, 63, of Henrico County, Va., passed away on July 6, 2013. She is survived by her mother, Louise Hicks Armstrong; her sister, Rebecca Lynn Armstrong; a brother, William Smith "Pete" Armstrong Jr.; her aunt, Shirley Armstrong; a nephew, William Smith Armstrong III; and niece, Linda Ann Armstrong. She also leaves behind her special friend and angel, Margaret Davis. Sheryl retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2003, after having worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Department of Rail and Public Transportation. During retirement, she was involved with the Henrico County SALT group, Prime Timers at Mount Vernon Baptist Church and Ridge Toppers at Ridge Baptist Church. Per her wishes, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. If you wish, please donate to a church or charity of your choice in Sheryl's memory. On behalf of her family, we thank you.

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Sheryl's passing. We were neighbors when she was growing up and I remember her with fondness. My prayers are with her family.

I worked with Sheryl at The Department of Rail and Public Transportation. i was very sad to hear of her passing.

I was very sad to hear of Sheryl's passing. Tried to invite her to a group luncheon but could not get a number. Worked with her for many years and she was helpful. We pray for her and the family.
