Sending my condolences and prayers to your family and all who cared for her. I am so grateful to have known Sherry and to have learned from her. We served on the KSAPT board together and shared many car rides throughout the state. I will always cherish those conversations with her.

I am so sorry to hear of Sherry's recent passing. She was one of my grad school instructors and most of my classes seemed to be with her. She was tough but fair, provided lessons that were based in her lived experience, and insisted that students understood the ethical underpinnings of social work and why they are so important. She was wonderful! I always appreciated what she brought to the classroom, and to my academic experience. My condolences to her family and her DSM, Darrell.

I am so sorry to hear of Sherry's death. I served with her on the play therapy association board and remember her smile, kindness, and desire to create better environments for children. She will be missed.

Sherry you will be forever remembered for your loving and giving nature. You loved your family fiercely and will be missed. Love you "cousin"!

My sympathies to the Nelsons, you may not know me, but I have heard about you all for the last 35 years, she so loves her sibs. To my buddy Darrell, you took such loving care of her, and she loved you for it, even before her illness, and to your kids who allowed her to love you, because she could do no other. To Tom and Nick Cooper. I don´t have to tell you about your mom , but you should know we rarely had a conversation without talking about our boys. You two and my son. You brought her...

Sherry was the best supervisor I have ever had. We worked together at Children First and she loved her staff and her clients so well. I´m grateful for her compassionate ear, her loving heart, her fighting spirit, and her wisdom! I´m grateful that she taught my students (and myself) how to handle our grief. She was a wonderful social worker and I am grateful I had the chance to work with her. She will be missed.

Darrell and family, I am so sorry for your loss. No man should have to have this grief twice in his life! I love you Brother!!

She is so missed - I got to know her through our KU/WSU simulation work. She was the best champion for bringing Social Work students into our Interprofessional Simulation events!!

Sherry , you were and still are an inspiration. I am a better person for having you as an educator.
