Sheryl, as always, was thinking of others even though she was so ill. The College of Social Work Library gratefully accepted her generous donation of books and videos that will benefit our students.
My deepest condolences to Pate, who I met when he brought the books to the library with his lovely daughter, Lindsey, and to the rest of Sheryl's family. The students loved Sheryl and we will miss her so much.

To Sheryl's family: My heart goes out to all of you. Sheryl spoke of you all often. I am a survivor today because of what Sheryl taught us in her DBT classes at Vanderbilt on Wednesdays. She promised us a life worth living and I am a happier person today for having known her. I can think of no greater way to honor her memory than to pass along to others what she taught us.I will miss you, Sheryl! Thank you for not just teaching us the principles in a book but for living it in your everyday life. Your smile will live on in my memory.

Sheryl was my colleague and my friend for 10 years at Vanderbilt. I appreciated her wit, her intelligence, her kind and open heart, and her friendship freely given to me. Her presence has been missed in our clinic, and there is an empty space in our hearts.
Blessings, prayers and comfort is sent from me to Pate, Lindsey, Megan and her other family members as we remember and celebrate such a fine person as Sheryl Margolis.
