Not sure what to say?

Mr. Abbott was the best American Ambassador I ever worked for during my 30 years in government service, including two "tours" in Vietnam. Ambassador Abbott and his wife were so very gracious and friendly towards my wife and I, as well as to other staff members at our embassy located in Maseru, Lesotho. As the Chief Communications Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Maseru, Mr. Abbott was my Ambassador from 1983 through 1986. I believe I remember my wife Wendy and I attending his 60th birthday at his Maseru, Lesotho Ambassador's Residence. He was such a nice person and boss at our small embassy. I remember he graciously allowed my family to use his apartment near Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. one summer on our home-leave vacation. I remember feeling such a great love between him and his wife...

May God bless the Abbott family. Thank you Dr. Abbott for being a being such a great influence in our lives.

Sorry for the loss of you loved one. No one wants to see a loved one go. That's why we can look forward to the paradise earth where death will be no more.

Alan,

Our condolences to you and your family. I too have wonderful memories of your father. He was a great leader, had a wonderful sense of humor and was a good and just boss.

Our prayers and blessings,
