Shirley Eileen Anderson

I´m saddened to learn of Mrs. Anderson´s passing. Having served as her waiter at the American Inn from 2013 to 2016 I was always amazed as to how she explained god in a way for a young person to understand. Extremely grateful, empathetic, bright, and loving. I think about Mrs. Anderson often. And because I know she can feel and understand what I´m saying right now.... I just want to say thank you.

So sorry to hear of Shirley´s passing. I knew Shirley from BW. She was always a lot of fun and so kind and a loving person.

I am so very sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was our beloved pastor at Millbury First Church for several years. She will be remembered as a kind and loving pastor - she was absolutely wonderful with the children, and my own child benefited from her compassion and developed a wonderful relationship with her as she led the requirements for the Boy Scout God and Country recognition. I can truly say my life is richer for having known Shirley and Lynn.

My expression of sympathy for the whole family; know you all dearly loved our Rev. Shirley. While she was at North Stonington Congregational Church, she helped to promote the library . She was most active and added in photography of church events. We enjoyed the time she brought the band with her grandson and other family members to church. And most of all, she instituted the "Jammy Grammy" Program, which we still carry every year in December. Shirley was loved by all. Julie Evans

To Rev. Shirley´s family, with our deepest sympathies on hearing of Shirley´s passing. She was very warm hearted and kind. In October 2001, she married us. She made the day very special for us. Over the years, we have kept in touch. Us telling her of our travels and she telling us of her growing family. The love for her family always shone brightly. Our deepest sympathies to all of you.

Shirley was one of my Sunday school teachers during my childhood, and later, she spoke at my father's memorial service. After some years, I relocated to Massachusetts and became involved in her church community. Shirley consistently offered warmth through her hugs, a listening ear, and genuine compassion, making her feel like a second mother to me. I feel truly honored to have had her in my life. I will miss her Christmas letters. May those who loves her find peace.
