Shirley Aubuchon, 83, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 at Vantage Health and Rehab of Westfield. Shirley was born to Stephen & Mary Kmiecik in Northampton, MA on February 5, 1942.
She was a loving spouse, daughter, sister, & aunt. Shirley loved to ride motorcycles with her husband Richard Aubuchon. She enjoyed few things more, than going on cruises with her mother and sister.
A beautiful, worldly, loving, vibrant woman, Shirley worked in the Hospitality Industry for most of her life and was loved by co-workers for her warm demeanor and work ethic. Her wonderful sense of humor and sunny personality brought laughter and smiles wherever she went, making conversation and connections with strangers up until the day she passed away.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Aubuchon; her parents Stephen S. Kmiecik, Sr. and Mary E. (Morin) Kmiecik; her dear brothers Stephen Kmiecik, Jr., Robert “Bobby” Kmiecik, and her dear sister Mary Desjardins.
She will be missed every day by her nephews Stephen (Karen), Jonathan (Kathy), Fred (Pam) Kmiecik and several great nephews and nieces. Shirley also leaves behind her thoughtful and devoted close friends, Gail Page and Ronnie Sullivan as well as many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at the New St. William Cemetery, Ware MA. The O’Brien Family Funeral Home in South Hadley has been entrusted with the arrangements.
