Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to the family. I met Shirley, many years ago, at The Mark at a Mallards hockey game. I sat one row in front of her. Shirley's spirit and smile were infectious; it was always nice seeing her, over the many years, the games. May our Lord's perpetual light shine upon her.

Shirley was a long-time friend to my mother, Jean Gauley, and also a good friend to myself and my wife, Sue. She was always wanting to hear what was going on with us, and we always had fun talking to her. I played Euchre down at the North Side several times with her, and not only was she good, she was fast! We always enjoyed seeing her when we were back home in Reynolds, and we would talk about anything and everything. Please accept our sincere condolences. /Tony and Sue Veeder

To the loving family of Shirley Barnes, We were so sorry to hear that Shirley had passed away. They were so welcoming and made us feel part of the community. Shirley was alway quick with a smile and a joke. Loved seeing her at the ball games. Will miss hearing her cowbell ring. Please know that you are all in our...

A wonderful friend. I miss Shirley. We had many fun times at baseball and hockey season events. I could count on her vigorous good humor, and her friendly spirit was infectious to all those who knew her. I remember her cowbell crowd pleasingly at several momentum shifts whether hockey or baseball.
