Shirley Jeanette Beamon

Shirley Jeanette Beamon of Suffolk, Virginia passed way January 12, 2022 while a patient at Chesapeake General Hospital.  She was born to the late Ernestine Beamon and the late Arthur Beamon Sr. on May 26, 1959.  She was preceded in death by her sister Lisa Beamon.

Shirley was a 1978 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and served in the U. S. Army for several years after graduating high school.  She studied legal and medical secretarial at Kee’s Business School and received her Executive Secretary Diploma in 1988.  She’s also a retiree of 26 years from Sentara Obici Hospital where she served as an Administrative Associate.

Shirley was one that was always pleasant to be around and for the most always had a smile.  She was loved and will be missed by many.

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her two daughters: Shinequa Beamon and Kayawna Mizell (Edward); 5 grandchildren: Quantae Beamon, Ty-Teiyana Beamon, De’Corelle Mizell, Jas’Shinae Simpson and Edvontae Mizell. Her sister: Shironica Beamon and four brothers: Arthur Beamon Jr., Ronald Beamon (Rita), Allen Beamon (Joycelyn Boone) and Brian Ferguson, goddaughter, Leaundra Johnson. Along with special friend Ruby Morings and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
