Not sure what to say?

Bill and Shirley have been friends for many years. I don't know of two better people. It was a blessing to go out to dinner with them a few weeks ago and to visit with Shirley one more time. Our love goes out to Bill and the boys. Love, Gordon and Candy Flitton

Last text I received from my dear friend Shirley, stated, "If you need someone to talk to let me know " This was after my own Mother passed on May 6th. Shirley was always there to help is whatever eat she could. God bless, always, Shirley! Forever, and always through the eternities!

Shirley was an AMAZING friend and Nurse. When I hired her at the InstaCare it became immediately apparent that she was not your basic nurse. She was motivated and although she only worked part time, she took responsibility to make the InstaCare flow smoothly and was always trying to make it better. She left notes so that no communication was left unfinished. She was a DELIGHT to be around and made efforts as we moved on to keep in touch. When my son-in-law passed away, she made an...

Shirley was a great friend and colleague. I loved working women's health with her. I also worked with her at Westminster University and she was an outstanding adjunct instructor. Her influence on nurses will be felt for years. I am shocked and saddened by her loss. My condolences.

Shirley and I worked together at instacare and in the ER at PVMC. I loved exchanging stories of our children. Surely the rare combination of great competency as well as great compassion. Our prayers have been for Bill and the boys, as I'm sure Shirley is organizing another little piece of heaven. Love you Shirley, Godspeed.

Shirley was an amazing woman who taught me so much about being a nurse, a mother, and friend. She was a fierce advocate for her patients when we worked together in Oncology at Primary Children´s. She always went above and beyond the minimum. When I was about to deliver my first child she was working in Labor & Delivery. She picked up an extra shift so she could be there for me, just in case I needed her. She will never be forgotten!

With the deepest respect, I have struggled with calling out sick from work or attending her services. (WWSD). What would Shirley do? She would want any nurse to go to work and care for their patient. I will be thinking of her all day as I care for others, just like she lived her life! Hugs and love to all. Thank you for sharing her with me. Such an honor!

What an amazing life she led ! Bill and family, the girls and I are so saddened to hear of Shirley´s passing. Great memories of raising small children together in our wonderful ward. We love you all.

Dear Bill and family, I was so saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. Her obituary really captured who she was: kind and compassionate, always striving to grow and do better. Every stage of life, she embraced. She carried so much concern for each of her patients and did her best to help and comfort them. I remember her passion for you, the kids and your dogs, and even the chickens who had the best hen house in the neighborhood by Shirley's report. Then, along came the grand children- as...
