My grandmother was a loving and beautiful soul. She spent her life loving and caring for others in the medical field and especially with family. When I was injured in a gas explosion back in 2002, she took time out of her life and nurtured me back to health with her healing hands. Shirley was a wonderful person and a dedicated nurse. As a pediatric nurse, back in the 60's, she was my infant daughter's nurse and followed her in a program for several years. They reconnected several years ago. She always considered and referred to her as her child. We loved her, she was very special to us.
