Not sure what to say?

May the many wonderful memories, and knowing she lives on through her children and grandchildren even as she enters into eternal life with her Lord, provide comfort in the difficult days ahead. Your friends are always close by.

Shirley was a special gal. A regular customer at the bank after her retirement, we heard many of her OKB and 5/3 tales. So sorry to hear of her passing.

I miss you Shirley. I miss your welcoming smile, your warmth, your graciousness. I feel blessed that you and I shared so many wonderful times together. Thanks for being such a great friend.

Shirley always treated us like family. As a matter of fact, she sometimes called me her "other daughter." When Dianne and I worked on our photography/poetry project, Listen to the Landscape, Shirley was so supportive, generous, and proud. My deepest sympathies to the family. Shirley was a friend from Old Kent Bank and also enjoyed seeing her after retirement. She was always a fun, positive, intelligent and enjoyable person to be around. I will miss her. Sara Applegate

I'm so sorry to hear about Shirley, she was always a joy to be around.Old Kent and 5/3

So very many memories I will hold in my heart of Shirley, particularly those of her travels while at OKB - the time the cruise ship hit a boat, when when she lost her glasses the fated trip to Hawaii, her whirlwind 1 or 2 day trip thru Switzerland or when she sprained her ankle on the Ireland trip (I was on that trip!)..May the many memories left behind bring her family and friends comfort for tomorrow.

Shirley was a wonderful lady! I enjoyed working with her at the bank...she always had a funny story to share or a new place to try for lunch! She loved her family very much.

Dianne, We always looked forward to seeing Shirley on the bus trips with OKB and 5/3, that was always the highlight of the trip. Bob had many fond memories of Shirley at OKB and 5/3. We both will miss her in and around Grand Rapids at community events. Please accept out deepest sympathy. Bob Goudzwaard OKB&5/3 and Lou Vander Have
