Not sure what to say?

Our first experience of Shirley was when we were dating. Of course we celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Cavallos. Shirley and Brondo were amazing. We chatted in her kitchen. She shared the story of the ginger bread house. Her love for cooking. Then the fabulous feast. 3 1/2 hours of savoring every taste, a tour and more history. Thank you Shirley and Brondo

A kind and generous lady apart from being enormously talented. Both Brondo and Shirley always welcoming and full of the humors.

My condolences on the passing of such an amazing person! I think mine was one of the very first weddings she hosted there--it would have been in 1989. Every one of the guests (including Mr. and Mrs. Tucci!) to this day still rave about the incredible meal she prepared, with many saying it was the best meal they have ever had! But more than that, they remember what a warm and loving spirit she was--and truly made everyone there feel like family. I am sad to say I only made it back there...

My deepest sympathy to the family. May Shirley Rest In Peace in a beautiful kitchen in heaven with gorgeous fresh produce and bouquets of flowers. And all of her lovely copper ware too. I will never forget the dinners that I had at the restaurant over the years. They were so special and made with love. I can picture her in the kitchen all dressed up with high heels on, stirring large cauldrons of food. It was magical.

I didn't know Shirley, but I heard wonderful stories about her. Brondo was a devoted son and caretaker. I'm so sorry my friend, keep the stories coming.

First time I met Shirley I was a young bride. Shirley and I met at an event and I was instantly drawn to this beautiful, intelligent , wholesome woman who was talking about family, her Italian heritage, cooking and gardening and dreams of opening a restaurant. I thought WOW this is an interesting woman. She sure did open a restaurant Locando Del Cavollo drew patrons from around the globe for a great reason .She was a Master Chef.
Our daughter ‘s wedding reception was held at Locando Del...

My wife Michellle and I were married at Cavallo's 20 years ago on August 26, 2000. We had been to Cavallo's many times prior to getting married and absolutely loved Shirley, Brando, and their restaurant so much so that we decided to be married there. Over the years we went back to celebrate our anniversaries. Here we are 20 years later and decided to celebrate our anniversary where it all started, at Cavallo's. I called last week to make reservations and spoke with Brando and asked if we...
