Not sure what to say?

So sad to learn this news. I was lucky enough to know Shirley while growing up with Greg in Orland Park, IL. She had the warmest smile and loving demeanor. Always welcomed with open arms and hopefully a cookie or two. Still the best. Mrs. Fields was lucky Mrs. Clark never monetized her baking prowess. I will forever have memories of meals at Bakers Square, Bridge nights with mom’s, becoming a temporary member of the Clark family while mine left early for an Arizona holiday and the gift of a...

So sorry for your loss. I new Shirley from West High School.

I met Shirley through a small ladies bridge group about 1987 in Orland Park, Illinois. Our sons had met in junior high sharing along friendship as well. Shirley was a fantastic bridge player but most of all a devoted wife and mother. Her pride in her children and later grandchildren was evident in all our get togethers and phone conversations. Well known for baking, especially chocolate chip cookies, our bridge group was often the recipient of her delicious baked goods. She was so kind,...

Shirley was a dear sister in P.E.O. Chapter EC. Although I moved from MN many years ago, the fond memories of my time with Shirley make me smile.

Shirley was a good friend both at Messiah Methodist and PEO chapter EF. We are thankful that she is now out of pain and in the arms of Jesus.

RIP Shirley, thoughts and prayers to your family. Man will miss that wonderful smile and personality.

Meredith's Baby Doll Tea Birthday Party Waterloo
1950?

Shirley and I were school mates at Whittier Elementary in Waterloo. I had not been in touch with her since my family moved to Texas mid-way through 6th grade. About two years ago, another classmate, Gerri Fox, found me on Facebook and that connected me to Shirley again. The picture shows us at my birthday party in the backyard at 307 Denver in Waterloo. We all brought our dolls and had a tea party. Shirley was a light in our lives then and I can tell from posts that she was that for so many...

Prayers for all of you. Shirley was so special and will be missed by many.

Loved playing online Scrabble with Shirley. Thoughts and prayers to all.
