Not sure what to say?

I feel very sad to learn Professor Clark has passed away. I was one of the lucky few to have been a grad student in Professor Clark´s seminar on the sociology of education at the University of Minnesota. As grad students can be harsh and brutal one with another, professor Clark very naturally set the tone of Civility and decorum. Professor Clark was not only a good professor, she was a decent person.

Shirley was a very talented and lovely lady. She is missed by many.

Shirley Clark; truly a sad passing with a bitter sweet end. Shirley left after a long life well lived, enhanced by a loving partner to share life's journey. Who can ask for anything more. Janice and I lament our not having another warm visit after fifty years of friendship but we always remember her smile and angelic demeanor. There is a lesson for all who have known the pleasure of her company. We loved her.

Don, we are so sorry for your loss. I remember your great stories about Shirley, her artistic nature and devotion to you. What a good and wonderful marriage.

Sweet, sweet Shirley! What a great, loving talented person! In her own very quiet way she cared for everybody and was a gentle sole! Rest in Peace my dear neighbor!Raisa

Shirley was a treasure, immensely talented yet modest and shy. A person of warmth and great personal integrity. She handled herself with such grace; she will be missed by all who loved and admired her.
