Shirley (Danner) Wilson, 81, St. Joseph, MO; passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Mosaic Life Care.


 Shirley was born on November 13, 1943 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late George and Flossie (Weese) Danner.  She was a 1961 graduate of Lafayette High School.


Mrs. Wilson was a devoted homemaker and owned and operated her own home cleaning service.


Shirley enjoyed crafting and made several afghans for family and friends, but her greatest joy was attending and supporting her grandchildren in their various activities.


Shirley married James E. Wilson on August 26, 1961 in St. Joseph, Missouri, he preceded her in death on March 11, 1985.


In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, James Wilson and four brothers, Richard, George, Joseph and Larry Danner.


Survivors include her two daughters, Sondra Simmon (Bill) and Diane Sonner (Matt); nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Lewis and Marvella Clinton (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Private Family Graveside Service and Interment at Allen Cemetery, Gower, Missouri.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
