I worked with Shirley in accounting at The Ann Arbor News for a short time in 1995. I learned so much working with her. She was meticulous and I always admired her. When I moved to advertising, I focused on the details in everything I did because of her.

As a second cousin to Shirley I always enjoyed her unfiltered analysis on any topic or subject. You always knew where you stood with Shirley and I loved her spunk. She raised her three boys as a young mother and did a marvelous job of it. Our sympathy to her family and RIP Cuz.

"When a person becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." I´m grateful for the memories that I have with Aunt Shirley. I admired her strength and ability to openly share her thoughts. I share in the sadness of her passing but find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with my Uncle Gerald.
