I will miss Shirley's company while driving to and from Beth and Harvey's house for all the dinners, holidays, celebrations and family get-togethers. I will miss the funny conversations about the family and all the fights about which way to get home. We always got lost but we always laughed along the way. Shirley made sure

I spoke to Bobby last Friday, and just found out the news. Very sorry for your loss. Both Yale and Shirley were favorite parents of mine growing up. I spent many days at their home as a teenager, and always felt loved and welcomed. My favorite story of Shirley (from about 50 years ago now) was once, I "smarted off" to her, and knowing full well that I had made a mistake and expected to really get reprimaned, she just smiled at me and said "that's ok...becuase one day you will have children of...
