Not sure what to say?

Not only my teacher but a friend. I miss waving to you as I pass your house on Southside. You are truly an inspirational teacher. Love you always

Mrs. Goode was my 5th grade teacher at Cheston many years ago. She was a wonderful teacher...kind, gentle, and patient. I was always amazed, years later, when we would run into each other, that she still remembered me. My deepest condolences to those that loved her.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Shirley. She was a fantastic teacher, mentor, coworker and friend. As a teacher she motivated you daily and always took the time to make you and the work you produced relevant. As coworker she was always there to help me anyway possible and always put a positive spin on whatever the professional situation. As a mentor she taught me to get to know my students not just as learners but as people. Reminding us all that a kind word in the morning can go a long...
