Shirley Ann Hagee

Shirley Ann (Collier) Hagee, 70, of Scottsville, a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend and wife, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010.

She was born September 2, 1939, a daughter of the late William Billy and Blanche Virginia Collier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Allen Leo Hagee; a brother, William Elwood Collier; a grandson, James Lee Roberts; and a brother-in-law, Sam Morris.

Shirley was very well known and loved by everyone who came in contact with her. She enjoyed reading, watching the oldies, sewing, fishing and partying with the girls. She touched many people in a special way and had many friends and will always have a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Collier Roberts and her husband, Bill, of Palmyra, Tonia Lynn Hagee of Colorado and Felicia Ann Hagee of Scottsville; grandchildren, Dustin Roberts and Kristen Hagee; three great-granddaughters; sisters, Alice Marie Collier and her husband, David, Irene Frazier and her husband, Robert, Faye Marie Morris, and Kathleen Cline and her husband, Johnny; and a brother, Dewey Lee Collier and his wife, Eva.

The family would like to extend a thank you to her special niece, Sonya Gibson.

A memorial service will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Scottsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 550, Scottsville, VA 24590.
