Dearest Mr. Halpin, Jim and Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your dear wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. You all watched over her and gave her tender and loving care during her final days and you all gave a wonderful gift by surrounding her with love, compassion and strength during her final days at home. It was an honor to have cared for her and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

Shirley was a long standing friend of the our family. I remember receiving those memorable stocking stuffer gifts that came for me and my brothers and sisters each year. As an adult, I will always remember and appreciate being invited to those get togethers at Shirley and Jim's home on Back River as an invigorating warm uo before to setting out for Weymouth's Independence Day fireworks right down the street at Lane's Beach.
