Shirley was a hoot. She took care of me like a 2nd Mom back when I was in High School with Bette. I remember her pouring room temp iced tea all over by body to take the sting from my sunburn away...Bette and Kim - just remember she is in a better place, she won't be in any more pain. Love to the entire family !

My thoughts and prayers are with the Haney Family at this time.

I still remember the early days (1980s)with Shirley at the Civil Division, especially our morning chats and recipes shared. Her caring nature and positive attitude in any and all circumstances taught me many life lessons. I will miss her dearly and look forward to seeing her again some day.

I worked with Shirley many, many years ago at the Civil Division, USDOJ. I was so sorry to learn of her passing. She was a lovely lady who will be missed by all who knew her. My deepest condolences to Shirley's family.

To the family -- my thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with both Shirley and Mike at DOJ for many years. Never have I met a more kind, caring and giving person than Shirley. I will always remember the fun we had during those years -- we worked hard and played hard. I won't be in town this weekend, but know that you all will be on my mind.

Shirley,

You are the epitome of grace and kindness and goodness. The world has lost a light, but heaven has gained a star. Rest forever with the Lord.
