Shirley Mae Herr at the age of 95 born in Harrisburg, Pa. passed away peacefully at Glen Mills Senior Living on November 4, 2025.
She was a devoted wife to Alvin Joseph Herr for 70 years and had three loving children, Dennis Herr, Sandy Mulroy, and AJ Herr.
She will be remembered for her following traits of: a positive personality, outgoing spirit, friendly and warm to new & old friends, generous in her time, competitive in playing various games, and strong willed. Her passion for her hobbies included; reading the newspaper & magazines, cooking, crafts, golfing, snow skiing all over the world, with the Valley Forge Ski Club, social events, and Penn State Ice Hockey & Football.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star International and donated her time to the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. for many years.
She had six grandchildren: DJ Herr, Derek Herr, Ashley Herr, Kelly Herr, Danny Mulroy, Caitlin Mulroy, and three great grandchildren: Declan Herr, Perry Rose Mulroy and Nora Anne Mulroy. A service celebrating her life will be held at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church and a date will be provided at a later time.
