She had moved back to her hometown in Illinois after my father passed away and married her high school sweetheart. They had 15 fabulous years together. I missed her but was glad she was truly happy. Many times Lee Manley and I would join Carlton and Shirley over drinks and dinner in Florida. Shirley was always a sparkling individual and I always looked forward to her company. My sympathy goes out to Carlin and her family.
