I was a corporate book buyer and knew Shirley well from book programs and I was privileged to be a volunteer at the Tivoli. Rest in peace my friend and my most sincere condolences to the family. Mary Tallman

Hi Steve, I am sorry that you lost your step-mother. The obituary shows that she had a very productive life. The most important part of her life was her family. I look forward to seeing you again at Church. Nick Kaskovich Southminster Presbyterian Church

Without Shirley's supporting my vision for over two decades for Midwest Ballet Theatre's live ballet performances at the Tivoli, my full length programs, attended by many thousands of arts patrons, may well have never happened. Rest peacefully, dear friend. And thank you.

Chris: I was so sorry to hear the news of Shirley's passing. From My days at Paramount and Warner Bros she was a joy to work with. We would always have lively discussions about the latest books we were reading and always looked fowarded to when she and Wiilis would stop by the office. She was a remarkable woman who will be missed.
