Shirley was a wonderful , friendly, bubbly lady!! Shirley was my Aunt Ina’s ( Menter) best friend, so I used to see her often . My cousin( Ina’s daughter) Pamela and I we’re together quite a bit growing up , that’s where I would see Shirley. As an adult I taught at ECDP at the Jewish Community Center... Interesting how one's exceptional character can be felt by others who've never met them. Even after they've moved on. I can tell what a wonderful soul she was. May she rest peacefully in the loving embrace of the Eternal. Our heartfelt condolences to Jeremy and family.

Although I never met Shirley, in the almost 40 years I’ve known Jerry, I have heard so many wonderful stories about her. She was clearly an amazing women. May her memory be a blessing and continue to live on in those that loved her.

I first met the Kay family when they lived in Maryland over 55 years ago. I’m very thankful to have been able to spend time with Mrs. Kay during visits to Syracuse to see Jerry and Jennifer over the last several years. She was a special lady.

Grandmother Shirley (as she liked to be called, not grandma ;) ) was an amazing lioness of a woman, with strength of conviction and a keen mind. I’ll miss her delightful stubbornness (don’t spar with her, you’ll lose!) and her lovely sense of humor. She had a zest for life that was unmatched. Love you ❤
