The Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Inc., announces with the deepest sympathy the transition of Mrs. Shirley Ann Lang.
MRS. SHIRLEY ANN LANG was born August 4, 1953 in Mobile, Alabama. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Shirley gave her life to the Lord at a young age. She was baptized by the late Bishop W. T. Phillips of Phillips Temple AOH Church of God on St. Stephens Road in Mobile, AL. She graduated from Lillie B. Williamson High School in 1971. After school she later moved to Detroit, Michigan. She spent her time between Chicago and Detroit, then returned to her hometown of Mobile, AL. She was employed at Cogburn Healthcare in 1985, and there she met her now husband, Roger Lang. Later she was employed at Springhill Senior Residence for 30 years. She retired at the age
of 67.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hattie Davidson and Oscar Wilkes; sisters, Bettie Mae Davidson, Rosemary Davidson, and Azalene January. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Roger R. Lang of Prichard, AL; son, Christopher (Cynthia) Davidson; daughters, Ashley Williams and Tiffany (Roderick) Pogue; stepdaughter, Deidra Payne; goddaughter, Serena Jackson, all of Mobile, AL; sisters, Juanita Watkins, Alberta Robinson, and Joanne Davidson, all of Mobile, AL; brothers, Leonard Davidson of Detroit, MI, Johnny (Willie Mae) Davidson of Mobile, AL; sisters-in-law, Minnie Pearl Dixon, Pauline Crenshaw, both of Eight Mile, AL, Lorraine Johnson and Rita Sexton of Mobile, AL; brothers-in-law, John West and Elder Anthony Lang of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Christopher Davidson, Ramiyah Pogue, Jordan Davidson, Roderick Pogue, Jr., Raelynn Pogue and Karter Williams all of Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
