I will always remember that beautiful smile every time I got to her house to take care of Her, after I finish my shores we play cards and have good time walking around the garden looking at her plants, She was one of my best clients and friend, really miss her and Fred too, Love always Shelly ( Home Instead)

Mark and I had the pleasure of living next door to Shirley and Fred for almost 20 years only moving last May. Her daughter Patty has been a friend since High School days and we became acquainted over the years with the rest of their kids! Such a wonderful family they raised! We had many conversations out in the yard, over the deck, in their kitchen and in our home! Shirley had such an infectious smile and happy soul. She and Fred worked in their beautiful yard from sun up til sun set until that became a challenge, not that long ago! Everyone in the neighborhood drew pleasure from their flowers, shrubs, trees and yard art. It is with sadness we heard of Shirley's passing. May Fred and her family draw from wonderful memories of a beautiful woman. We will remember Shirley with love and happiness! With love, Cindy and Mark

I only knew my sherly for a short time but she make my feel like a long time friend, I was her caregiver for like 4 months but she always saw me like family, always smiling went I was over and very kind and sweet, I will never forget her and every time I see Oreo cookies I will remember her she really enjoyed her two cookies after lunch , she is in a better place now and one day I will see that smile again went my time comes, my condolences to all the family love Shelly

Mother and Father raised us as Everett YMCA members. Both the Everett Y and the new Mukilteo Y, Mom and Fred were avid members. Mother belonged to the aqua size groups. Fred the exercise room. They met great YMCA friends.
I remember watching Ronnie at his swim meets. And we all, Mom and Dad, would cheer him on! They wanted us to learn how to swim because Mother did not get a chance to learn. Mother took us to several lakes to play. Lake Goodwin, Silver Lake, Lake Stevens, Edgewater, Mission Bch, Madrona bch below us, Mukilteo ..... Ronnie, with a friend or by himself, would dive or snorkel for fish. When the Ferry came in or pulled away, the fish were there! One time, from the dock, i reached for the fish line to help him pull a large round yellow sunfish (?) out of water, line snapped and down it went.

Mother loved the garden club group, her book club group, and volunteering with Fred for the annual Methodist Church plant and estate sale.

What a privilege to have known her! She did heaps of good work for her family and her community. A fabulously lived life. We will miss her lovely presence, but hold her forever in our hearts. Our condolences to all her family and friends.

Mother was also an avid member of a local book club, she was a volunteer for the annual Methodist Church plant sale to raise funds for a community purpose. Most of the year She and Fred would prepare by transplanting many many plant starts. Way back, they volunteered with the annual Legion Park plant and garden and plant sales affairs. Over the years, Mother belonged to 2 garden clubs. The members would visit many many gardens, trips.

Steve my cousin Sheet Jacobson were reminiscing about being at your house as kids. Fun times on Madrona! Sending condolences to you and all your family in the loss of your mom! Somehow I think my mom knew her also but not sure how!
