Not sure what to say?

Wonderful memories of a good friend and talented lady. She will always be in my heart. My condolences to Hersch and her daughters.

Gracious doesn't even begin to describe Shirley. She was all of that and also very forthright in sharing what she thought, but always with that beautiful smile of pure friendship. Her work with the Seascribes Calligraphy Guild has allowed it to continue to be the thriving organization that it is! Thank you Shirley and I know that heaven will soon be even more beautiful since you will be there as art director!

My fond memories of Shirley go back to 1957 in Washington DC, when Hersch and I were Navy ensigns. Shirley was always most generous in her hospitality, whether in DC, Watertown, Davis or the Peninsula. In recent years, we especially enjoyed meeting each July at the Carmel Bach Festival. Through our many shared occasions, Shirley insured that the conversation never lagged. We send our condolences to Jan and Sharon and the family. We miss you, Shirley. Photo: Watertown, 1960

Always remember how welcoming Shirley was when we moved near them in Pebble Beach and the messages she left on our phone after Niner games! She and Hirsch were and are special people.

Herschel, Vince and I are deeply sadden by the loss of Shirley . She was so very kind and sweet to both of us. We have thought of you both the past few years. We always enjoyed visiting in Edwards hall for coffee with you both. Vince and I will hold you in our prayers. With sympathy, Vince and Karlen Poma
