Not sure what to say?

I knew Shirley from the 50's as my family lived down the street from her. She could really play the Hammond organ and encouraged me to pursue music, which I did in my spare time. I thought of Stephen as a little brother during the time I knew him.
West 224th Street won't be the same without her.

Shirley and I have been good friends for 30 years. She would come over for a weekend and we would play 4-5 games of Scrabble each day. She never "let" me win, but once in a great while I was able to win one game. She was a joy to be with and we shared many laughs together. She was special and amazing and she touched the hearts of many. My sincerest sympathies go to her family. Shirley, I miss you now, I will miss you tomorrow, and I will miss you forever. Love you Shirley.

I worked with Shirley from 1979 - 1992 at FWC. She was a responsible, caring, diligent, attentive, and respectful woman, or at least, that was my experience of her. She started out know little about computers and learning much as time went by. I was 27 years old when I met her and 50 when our ways parted. I "accidentally" found out about her passing when I learned of someone else having passed the same time.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

To the family no heart breaks alone, for God is
always near, and when a prayer is whispered, He's always there to hear ..When sorrow's overwhelming
He comforts tenderly

May the God of all comfort be with your fond memories.

Sorry for the loss of your mother. Always cherish the memories of your time together. May the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trails, help your family during this difficult time. 2Coriinthians 1: 3, 4 - SG Cleve OH

When I think of my wonderful friend, Shirley, I think of "words." She had such a vibrant command of the English language. We played Scrabble avidly and frequently. Whether she won or lost, she played with pizzaz. She was independent, loyal, a fierce advocate for the things she believed in, and the finest, most supportive friend I've ever had. She held her privacy close and her family and friends closer. Her positive outlook on life was an inspiration. She loved her waffles crisp and her...
