I first met Gary and Shirley in the winter of 1969-70 when I walked into their car/snowmobile dealership in Twin Falls. There was an immediate close friendship started as I had by then done a little snowmobile racing and before long, I was riding a new Arctic Cat machine. I can't remember what I traded in but Gary made it doable for me because I wasn't financially able to just write a check for it.
