Not sure what to say?

I first met Shirley and Barb at the Mountaintop Quilters Group a couple of years ago and we became good friends.... and then the YA-YA Sisterhood was formed March 2002.. 8 originally and now 11 ladies meet every month for a luncheon, to eat, to share, to talk, and have that female bond and friendship.... Shirley will always have a chair at our table.... what a wonderful person, she will be missed, but she is not really gone, just gone ahead...... I love you Shirl......

Tom and I met Shirley at our social club meeting. I remember how full of life she was. And of course a fellow New Yorker. Shirley was like a second mother to me and comforted me, when Tom and I were going thur the teenage years with our oldest daughter. I will miss her alot but I know I will see her again. Shalom my dear friend.

We connected the first time we met in 1990 and she has been a blessing to my life every since. My home is filled with quilts she helped me to make. We traveled together, laughed, and cried together, struggled with taxes together, and got fat together. Shirley taught me about being a Jewish lady and I taught her about Christianity. We spent hours talking of everything under the sun, no topic was taboo. No one could have had a better friend. She is missed but will dwell in my heart forever.

Shirley was an inspiration to me and encouraged me to learn how to sew quilts and wall hangings. I will always remember her laughter and sense of humor. She will be missed by all of her friends.

A grand lady walked amongst us. We could only benefit from our friendship with her. She will be missed.
