Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear about Shirley's passing and even more so to know that I learned of it late. Shirley was a very remarkable lady. I took painting under her for 5 yrs. on Tuesday night. She was a very talented woman and I thank her for helping me to find my talents. Shirley will be missed by so many.

Carol, and family. I have just learned of Shirley's passing. I loved her very much. She was a very special friend. She has inspired many and will be sorely missed. You are all in my prayers.

For a very special lady who will always live on in our hearts. We wrote this together as a class for Shirley. But i cannot express how true this statement is. Shirley you will always be part of my life. Every time I pick up a paint brush I will think of you, my heart will feel a piercing pain and then I will hear your sweet voice of direction. I love you Shirley and I will miss you for the rest of my life.

Shirley's family did a lovely job in displaying Shriley's talent at the memorial. I loved all the Shirlism's written out and displayed for us all to read and relive the memory. She touched so many lives with her humor, her love for others, artistic talent, the lovely banners, her instruction in art and in day to day live......and even now she lives on through her children, grand children and her art children. I am blessed to have known Shirley...I am continual blessed with all the art...

Shirley was a wonderful friend and a true teacher of not only art,but life . I owe her much, the beauty of seeing things all around. Her funny little stories that made us laugh. The friendships that were made in her classes, the caring and the sharing made her art classes special! My Dear Friend, you will be missed!!!!!!!

I took lessons from Shirley when she came to teach in Lebanon, and again at her home in Hermitage. We had a lot of fun. Thoughts and prayers are coming to her family at this sad time. She will be missed.

Tonight a dear friend purchased a beautiful piece of artwork for me..."Jesus Wept". I cam home to research the artist and discovered she has recently passed. Thoughts and prayers for her family.

Shirley was such a wonderful part of my and my mother's life. We enjoyed many years of art classes first with her lovely daughter Carol and then with her. I can not tell you in word what a blessing she was to both my mom, Willie Cleek, and I. Those are some of the best times my mom and I have shared...Shirley and mom shared close birthdays ony 2 days apart...our weekly lunches, the laughter, oh the joy...what a big time heaven is having with Shirley there, I loved her so very much!

A precious lady who was so instrumental in my journey with art! We went to many workshops together and she taught me so very much! I hear her voice in my head and pass on her wisdom almost daily in art classes. My love and prayers of comfort to her family.
