Read MoreSo sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I was employed with the Beacon Club from 2012-2018 and always enjoyed seeing Shirley and John for lunch. Later, after John's passing, I was happy that Shirley continued to come to lunch with some of her friends, all wonderful ladies.

I am so sorry to hear of Shirley´s passing. I taught Kindergarten at Northeastern Elementary School at the same time Shirley taught there. I considered her a good friend. We kept in touch after Shirley left Northeastern and would have lunch together every summer. We exchanged Christmas cards every year. She was a great teacher and a good friend. Sheryl Clark

I am very saddened to hear of Mrs. Rodger's passing. Mr. & Mrs. Rodgers were my second parents during my grade-school years. Mike and Steve were my best friends. I have many memories of our of summer together and the awesome grilled-cheese sandwiches at the Rodgers house ! She was the best second mom a kid could have. May God bless her on her final journey.
