SHIRLEY J. SCHLEIMER

Shirley always had time to provide support to young woman CPAs. I am a retired principal of Yeo & Yeo. She was my mentor long before it had a name. She had just returned back to work when I told her my 4 year old son had Guillain Barre. She was always encouraging and available to help me to understand what he was experiencing. I am grateful to have known Shirley as a fellow Zontian and friend.

Shirley Schleimer was a remarkable woman who was an inspiration for many other women. Her work as a CPA had a tremendously positive influence on so many businesses in mid-Michigan. She also gave back to the community through her leadership in non profit organizations.

What a privilege it was to work with her and have her as a mentor and my friend. My sincere sympathy to her loving daughter Jane.

Jane, I am sorry for the loss of your mother, my heart goes out to you! The Schleimers were a wonderful, well liked family in our neighborhood. I remember Shirley as a warm friendly person. Jane use to babysit me. I have a vivid memory of Jane and I watching "Born Free" , the first time it aired on television.
