Not sure what to say?

Dear Aline,
I only knew Shirley through the wonderful stories you shared of your adventures and loving challenges with her and your family. I know you will miss her and I will miss never having known her. You are in my thoughts as you struggle through this difficult time, but know that she will always be with you.

Dear Aline, Hope, and Jay,
Your mother was a very special and dear person. My parents loved her, your grandfather, and you very much. You are in my prayers.
In Christ,
Helen Johnson

Earlier this month I telephoned Mrs. Sewell and she was doing fine. Her late father, Dr. A.P. Smith was our family doctor and her sister, the late Bea Smith, was a close friend of my late mother, Doris Bell. All the Smiths were special.

My grandmother was the nicest person anyone could be around. She really cared about not only her family but others who were in need. We would go to the Jesuit Church and mama always had an envelope ready for the poor box. She didn't have a mean bone in her body. Along with my parents, she was my best friend in the world and I will miss her so much.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my grandmother. This is very tragic but time will heal. I would never trade mama for anything. Along with my parents, she was my best friend and I'll miss her so much. I truly believe she will heal my sister Lauren from all infections.

Mrs. Shirley was my sixth grade teacher at North Bay Elementary in Bay St. Louis in 1964 for only the first 6 weeks, but I have fond memories of her. I live in Mobile now and just happened upon her obituary in the Sun Herald on line. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I viewed the photo album, and she seems to be the same great lady that I remember. God's peace be with all of you.

Dear Hope, Jay, and Aline,

I am so sorry for your loss.
I have often remembered your family from days at Christ Episcopal Church in the Bay, and fond memories of all the activites we all participated in.
With deepest sympathy,
Rebecca Adams Smith
