Shirley Ann Stanton was born to Ruth Elder Sherman and Eddie Harold Smith Sr., both preceded her in death. A brother Floyd Antoine Smith Sr. and a husband James Roy Stanton Jr. both preceded her in death. Shirley was born June 23rd 1949 A&m Hospital and Tallahassee Florida. She spent the first part of her youth living in Trenton New Jersey, 16th and Cumberland, at 15th and Lehigh before moving to Germantown. Bottomside of Brickyard. In 1970 Shirley married James Stanton Jr., a year later they had their first and only child James Stanton 3rd. For 15 years Shirley was the head breader 4 seafood shanty. Shirley was known for her love for cooking she loved making collard greens baking cakes and pies. She was also known for her bright beautiful smile and her loud talkin. She had no problem speaking her mind telling you how it is, always was concerned about other people's feelings but had no problem letting you know hers came first. She loved her son but most of all she loves her grandchildren sheep raise their grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Juanita Smith Nassardeen and brothers Eddie and Sharon Smith Charles and Debbie Smith Fred and Mary Smith. 3 aunt's Lorraine and Joe Tolder,Irene Turner and Johnnie William. 7 grandchildren Sharda,Tymeer, Anthony,Yaasameen, Aaliyah, Za'nyah and James. 2 stepsons Leon and Ashley Wilson, Anthony Stanton and a host of cousins nieces great nieces nephews great nephews. Shirley was a mother a grandmother a sister a aunt and a well loved friend who will truly be missed but never forgotten.
