Mrs. Shirley Eugenia Towery Lute, 55, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health. Genia was born on April 30, 1966 in Catawba County to Russell Eugene Towery and the late Shirley Mae Moore Towery. She attended Icard Church of God, and was previously employed with Corning , USConnec and SAFT. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Salvador Charles Joseph Lute. Survivors include her daughter, Tiffany Towery of Connelly Springs, her father, Russell Towery, and two grandchildren; Zander and Alyssa Towery. Also surviving are several close friends and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Tim Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
