Not sure what to say?

Shirley Travis was in my life 'all' of my life. In fact it was Shirley who drove my Mother to the hospital the day I was born !
Throughout my life she always referred to herself as my 'Nother~Mother'. Which always brought a smile to my face :)
Although she is gone from our presence she will remain in my thoughts forever with GREAT love....Lynda (Pitcher)

I was not able to come to the service for Shirley, but I wanted you to know how much Shirley and Stu both meant to my parents, Jack & Gladys Leitheiser. Shirley worked with my dad at Jantzen, and I think that's how they met, but they became such good friends over the years. My parents have both passed away now as well, but I have so many fond memories of spending time with your parents both at their home on 153rd and also the SunRiver house while I was growing up. I know how much she loved...

Janet, Jackie and Stu,
I have just returned from spending the day with the Celebration of Life for Shirley. I remember when I first met her, at my tender young age of 5 and I immediately felt like a member of the family known as "Travis". Her smile and laughter alone were enough to brighten my day. As the words were spoken today and the slide show was on, my thoughts raced back to my childhood and so many wonderful memories. Janet & I washing Jackie's hair in the toilet, without...

Janet, Jackie and Stu,
I have just returned from spending the day of Celebration of Shirley's life. Along with my siblings, I was full of tears and laughter as everything was said, the slide show and all the wonderful memories of my childhood were brought back to the surface. From the moment I first met Shirley, at my tender age of 5, I already felt like a part of the family known as "Travis". I had to smile when I remembered the time Janet and I decided to wash Jackie's hair in the...

Dear Stu, Jackie and Janet,
How blessed you were to have had such a wonderful mother. Your Mom made people feel better just to be around her. She brightened her corner of the world with her presence. She always made me feel so welcome and comfortable that she reminded me of my own mother. May God be with you as you go through this very difficult time. Don't grieve for her, but rejoice that she is finally with her life-long love, your Dad. Stu, I know you are devastated to lose your best...

Stu, Janet and Jackie,
Jackie and I are thinking of your family today and will be with you in spirit this afternoon as you celebrate the gift of you mothers life.

My heart is heavy with the passing of Shirley; and at the same time it is so full of happiness for having had her in my life since childhood. I could tell you the story of how she saved my wedding day by rescuing my wedding dress. You would think this would be enough to endear me to her, but it was her smile when she would see me, her encouragement on all my endeavors, her praise when things turned good for me, and showing me what really mattered when things seemed not so good. I remember...

Jackie,
My heartfelt condolances go out to you and your extended family on your Mother's
passing.
