Shirley A Tucker, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June the 17th at Methodist Hospital, Northlake campus.
She was born on November 8th, 1941, in Gary, IN to her parents the late Eddie and Addie Bolden.
She is also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Shirley was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1959.
She was employed by Gary Community Schools for over 30 years where she developed long lasting friendships. Shirley had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, snacking, working puzzles and reading novels.
Shirley is survived by her loving children: Jeffrey (Andrea)Tucker and Jennifer A, Lackey; two sisters, one brother; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and a special friend.
