Shirley Ward

WARD, Ms. Shirley (Garmon) -age 65, of Burton, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at her residence. Per Shirley's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no service. Shirley attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Flint Southwestern. She enjoyed working in her garden and planting hundreds of flowers. She also loved her cats and kittens. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Shirley is survived by: best friend and life partner of 33 years, Michael Riddell; sister, Debra (Thomas) Sturgen; nieces, Julie, Crystal, Brandy and Hailey Sturgen; nephew, Jason Sturgen; aunts, Lois (Dale) Kilpatrick, Geneva (John) House, Cynthia (Mike) Harper, Martha and Gaynell; uncles, Elmo, Ron and Claudell Garmon; special cousins, Lynn (Hurley) Godwin and best friends, Linda And Rick Petriken of Ohio. She was preceded in death by: parents, Warren and Virginia Garmon and many aunts, uncles and friends.
