WILKES-BARRE — Shirley Weidow, 90, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, died Aug. 6, 2024. She has gone to be with her husband of 73 years, Harry, who passed away Sept. 25, 2023.

Her daughter, Debbie, will miss her very much.

I have such fond memories of the times we shared, especially those lively parties at Butchie's house and our daily visits to the grill with my Mom and the ladies. Those moments were filled with laughter and joy, and I will always treasure them. I met Mrs. Weidow at her husband's funeral. Her daughter Debbie is a friend; who I met at Plains UMC group. Absolutely sweet lady, beautifull couple. He was a veteran during the Korean conflict. I Believe Mrs. Weidow never got over her lifetime partner's death. I know she died of a broken heart, yes, they were that couple. In Love and partners for ever. Deb, they are together now.
