Not sure what to say?

Although I haven't seen Shirley for almost 30 years, she's a person who never leaves your heart. I met her and Popcorn in 1966 when I married Walter Weeden of Cashion/Avondale. Her picture brings a flood of enough wonderful memories of fun and friendship to write a book. How can I pick one favorite story about Shirl? She celebrated her life of family, friends, and career with joy and grace.

Dear Popcorn,
Kathy and I were very surprised to hear about Shirley's passing. The funeral was a true tribute to a wonderful woman. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My mom and dad loved you both so much. (Pete and Gloria Petersen) If there is anything we can do, just call.

Leon & Family,
We are sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. We were fortunate to have met her in the White Mountains. We will always remember you and wish we could have known Shirley better.

JIM THOMPSON AND FAMILY

Dear Popcorn, Marnie, Creed and Family
We are just at a loss at what to say. We have had so many good time through the years. We will always remember the day we found out we were related, after being friends for so long and then to find out we were related all that time.
We are so thankful that we have all the memories to keep us going until we see her again.
Our love and prayers go to all of you and remember we will always be here for you.
Love
Steve, Linda...

Shirley was one of kindest, funniest, yet most professional people I have ever known. At the State Senate on a normal day, she was an island of calm in a sea of chaos. Her self-assurance rubbed off on everyone she met. No matter who you were, you were better off after a visit with Shirley. I love her dearly and will miss her.

Leon and family,

We are deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Our love and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
