It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Faye Wilson, 73, of Bullard, Texas on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Shirley was born on February 9, 1948 to Carl L. and Virmia T. Waggoner in Ft. Worth, Texas. After the birth of her two children, she enjoyed a career with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services until her retirement in 2005.
Her love of gardening and decorating was outshined only by her love of shopping, so you can imagine how magical Christmases were at her home. There was never a shortage of good cheer and free puppy kisses from one of her beloved dachshunds.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Jim Wilson of Bullard, Texas and both of her parents. She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Welch (Mark) of Oak Point, Texas, Angela Miller (Larry) of Indian Trail, NC, a brother, Roger Waggoner (Melba) of Houston, Texas, 4 grandchildren Natalie Taylor (Dustin), Madison Weatherman (Sean), Chelsea Miller, Macy Miller, and one great grandchild Davina Taylor.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2021, from 5-7pm at Jackson’s Burks-Walker-Tippit funeral home in Tyler, Texas. Graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 3:30pm located at Noonday Cemetery in Noonday, Texas.

So very, very sorry to here of Shirley's passing. I worked with her for many years at TDHS until my retirement in 1998. We became Facebook friends several years ago and I enjoyed her postings about her garden, dogs and of course her family. She will be missed.

Shirley and I worked together since the mid 70's. She was funny, direct, and oh so witty. I will miss my friend so much. To her children and step children and her brother, I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to remember not only Shirley in my prayers but all of you as well.

I would like to send my prayers and condolences to Robin and Angela on the loss of their Mother.
Prayers go out to the Shirley’s grandchildren and the beautiful great granddaughter that she shared pictures of. She was so proud of her family and the girls husbands.
You just had to talk to her to know what they all meant to be her family.
This has been a tough year for Shirley and may she Rest In Peace.
