Sid Saltzman

Sid and Lory were among the first people I met when I went to work at Kendal, before it was even built. Sid always reminded me that his signing the contract to enter enabled us to meet the necessary occupancy goal for financing the building of Kendal. He would make one humorous request after another, seeking some compensation for that, and he would laugh when I told him, "We certainly owe you, but not THAT much!" When I walked the halls and dining rooms of Kendal, I thought how great it was to work for such caring, thoughtful, loving individuals. I did not think of all their contributions during their lives. The longer I worked there the more I glimpsed into the backgrounds of these kind people.
