Our deepest sympathy to the family of Sidney Burbage. Her funeral service was beautiful and the words spoken regarding Sidney were very true. She was a beautiful lady and we were proud to be her friends.

How quickly illness and death overtake us. We feel privileged and grateful to have met Sidney and sat with her in church one weekend when she came to visit Larry and Linda. Aug '08. Our hearts were warmed with her love, as she was filled with His spirit. She was a dear, dear, precious soul. We are sorry we did not have an opportunity to become better friends. To think she is dancing with Jesus is incredible!! May the Lord's comfort and blessings be with you all.

I did not have the privilege of meeting Sidney in person, but as a friend of her cousin, Martha. My church and I have prayed for her continually since learning of her illness. I know she is resting in God's arms and I look forward to the day I will be able to meet her face to face. Our prayers go out to all of her family and friends that the Holy Spirit will comfort each of you in your loss. God bless you all.

Mrs. Burbage was my second grade teacher at Curry Elementary School. I was saddened to hear of her passing. I pray that the peace of God comforts her family and loved ones. Take comfort in the scripture that says " To absent from the body is to present with the Lord." 2Cor.5:8

She was an incredibly strong woman. She was cousin to my mother. The first time I visited her we took a moment to pray with her. Afterward she started encouraging me that "Steven, all prayers work". I was there to encourage her and she ended up encouraging me. Our prayers continue with the family during this time of loss. Steven Thompson

Dear Aunt Shirley, Larry, Linda, Lynn, Tracy, and precious grandchildren....Sidney's finally released from that diseased body, and in the loving arms of Jesus. I'm sure the whole Flowers, Robinson, Burbage, Meadows clan was there to greet her!! I've tried to picture the reunion in my mind and it's an awesome sight! My head has been full of wonderful childhood memories of a sweet, fun loving cousin who grew up to be a great lady. She had many hard things happen in her life, but that didn't...

Space won't allow all the reflections on this great person. We shared good times and bad together, cancer diagnosis and treatment together, Sunday school lessions together, fun times at the lake with our and her many other friends together. We love her and will miss her. She is with Seales and Opie her cat now. At peace and free from pain. God Bless her now and keep her safe with him. Happy reunion to her and Seales!!
Bye for now but never forgotten,
Till we meet again,
